Cotswold cottage garden
A long narrow family garden on two levels.
My clients wanted a secret cottage garden feel as well as a space for entertaining family and friends, a water feature, a small area of grass for their young son to play on, space to grow vegetables, some trees to create privacy as well as lots of roses, peonies and planting to include year round interest.
My design addressed these needs. The terrace is surrounded by scented climbers and plenty of bulbs and perennials. There is an abundance of roses and clematis growing over an arch, trees, a small water feature and as the garden matures you'll be enticed further into the secret garden!
New build Cotswold garden
This small new build garden will be giving my clients a terrace in the sun for entertaining or relaxing in. Planting for year round interest, climbers on the house and some trees to give a little privacy.

Planting scheme, Herefordshire
This prairie style border was designed to work with the surrounding landscape looking it' s best in late summer. Sedums, penstemon, phlomis, verbena and grasses look gorgeous in the sunshine and against the ripe corn fields behind.
The seed heads attract plenty of birds and insects and go on into the winter to provide interesting structure and look stunning covered in frost.
Large country garden (9 acres) Gloucestershire
My clients required an area for entertaining, spaces for teenagers, an area for vegetables, a cutting garden and a large bespoke greenhouse. An outbuilding had planning permission to convert into a pool house, the brief also included an endless pool, privacy from the neighbours and finally the main garden to the rear of the house to take advantage of the far reaching views.
A planting palette of warm creams, salmons, apricots and burnt oranges were mixed with swathes of golden grasses to create a simultaneously vibrant but calming effect.
Planting scheme, Devon
My clients wanted their garden to have interest all year round.
Two large olive trees in raised borders and plenty of perennials give colour over the summer season and into the autumn. There are plenty of seed heads to provide both texture in the garden and food for the wildlife. Taxus baccata spheres give evergreen structure throughout the year.
